The LodoS Group unites a handfull of artistic discovery travellers in their newest production TAKSI. They started a musical wandering from the Orient through the Balkans towards the heart of Ghent and back to Constantinople, where old and new, East and West, tradition and avant-garde melt together at the banks of the Bosphorus.
The Group brings – in combination with the LodoS Fanfar- original compositions that are rooted in traditional Turkish folkmusic and the Oriental repertoire, with jazz and improvisation as the common language.
The musical and visual performance seems like a taxi ride through the turns of todays diversity with striking images and humor with hooks and dashes of musical virtuosity.
The LodoS-musicians are all artists with a broad socio-cultural background and mean to build bridges with this performance, between the different cultures, beliefs & generations.
